(English Abstract)
Virtual surgery simulation is an important research topic as it contributes into safe and informative training of medical professionals. It helps to improve one¡¯s surgical skills without operating on the living human being. In this paper we studied one of the most significant part of the surgical simulation, the virtual cutting. to reproduce the physical model of organs the Position Based Dynamics(PBD) was applied to the triangular surface mesh. During the cutting the algorithm finds and removes intersected triangles and then retriangulate the newly formed patch. After the first round of triangulation, if needed, the new triangles are subdivided in order to match the initial mesh resolution. The current research is expected to contribute into improving surgery simulations quality and plausibility.
